RUSSELL ROSS MAHANNAH
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at North English for R. R.(Russell Ross) Mahannah, 62, furniture and undertaker there for the past 40 years. He passed away Monday in the St. Lukes hospital at Cedar Rapids, after an illness of several weeks. He was active in civic activities and served on the town council and the school board.
He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Ross of Newton; Mrs. Jean White of Cedar Rapids; Corinne and Betty Jane at home; six brothers, Clark of Cedar Rapids; Willis of Butte, Nebraska; Verne of Sioux City, Roy of North English; Ernest of Los Angeles, California; Wayne of Pueblo, Colorado; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Smith of North English; Mrs. Peter Hiltbrunner of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Nelle Kaufman fo Newton.
Services were in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Methodist church and the Masonic order of North English had charge at the grave. Burial was made in the North English cemetery
