Memorial
Carl Ficken, 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19 at 1 PM. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

Carl was born in Williamsburg, Iowa, served in the Air Force from 1950-1954; and was grateful to participate in an Honor Flight in 2013. He was a devoted Christian family man. He enjoyed fishing and the great outdoors.

Left to cherish Carl’s memories is his wife of 60 years, Jean Ficken, two children, Jodi (Kevin) Edwards of Kansas City, MO, David Ficken of Cedar Rapids, grandchildren Michael and Kelsey Edwards, Zachary and Mitchell Ficken, brother Ed Ficken, sisters Lillian Johnson and Venita Muller, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids or Unity Point Hospice in Cedar Rapids.
