Funeral Mass for Anna M. Cox, 92, Williamsburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg. She died Monday, October 24, 2016, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time at the church.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Anna Mary Cox was born Sept. 6, 1924, near Williamsburg, the daughter of Jacob (Ez) and Esther (Gorvin) Cox. She graduated from Parnell High School. She worked on the family farm west of Parnell for a number of years until they moved to Williamsburg. She then went to work for Amana Refrigeration retiring in 1986.

She enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society and the National Foresters Society.

Cox is survived by a son: Jon (Tess) Cox, Cottonwood, Ariz.; a grandson, Randy (Geraldine) Cox, Flagstaff, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, Shanowa Cox and Trey Cox; four great-great-grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Edward Cox, and a grandson, Ryan Cox.
