Norma (Begunck) Humphreys, 83, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at her home following an extended illness. Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 29, and service at Collier’s Funeral Home, St. Ann, Mo.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Evangelical Children’s Home.

Norma Humphreys was born July 2, 1933, at Ladora, the daughter of Henry and Delpha (Rumple) Begunck. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo. She graduated from Ladora High School in 1951 and then graduated from business college in Cedar Rapids. She worked as a legal secretary in Cedar Rapids and for many years in the St. Louis area.

She married Richard Humphreys on Sept. 11, 1955, at Trinity Church, rural Marengo. They couple had three children, Fred (Michelle), John (Sally) and Kathy (Steve) Hawkinson. Also surviving are grandchildren, Samuel and Josh Hawkinson, Jaime (Trevor) Bentz and John Ezell Jr.; great-grandson, Colton Anthony Bentz; brother, Edwin (Phyllis) Begunck, Williamsburg, and cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
