Douglas R. Maas, age 61 of Kewanee, IL, formerly of Williamsburg, Iowa, went home to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday evening, August 17, 2015.

He died at Royal Oaks Care Center, Kewanee from complications of Huntington’s disease.

Funeral Service: 2:30 P.M. Friday, August 21, 2015, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, with Rev. Karl Heck officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg. Visitation: 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2015, at the church with a prayer service at 8 P.M.

A memorial fund has been established.

Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Douglas is survived by his mother Lucille, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard on October 13, 1989.

Douglas Richard Maas was born August 13, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Richard H. and Lucille Weiss Maas.

He attended the Williamsburg schools and graduated from Williamsburg High School with the Class of 1972. Douglas was self-employed as an over the road truck driver for many years. He had been a member of various trucking organizations.

He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.
