Elsie Robinson, 90

Funeral service for Elsie Robinson, 90, Williamsburg, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She died Monday, May 26, 2014, at Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg.

The Rev. Carl Cloeter officiated at the service.

Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.klosterfuneralhome.com.

Elsie Caroline Robinson was born June 9, 1923, in Blairstown, the daughter of William Adam Pfisterer and Marie Rosa Neumann Pfisterer. She graduated from Norway High School in 1941.

She married Harold Earl Robinson Aug. 8, 1943, at Grace Lutheran Church, Blairstown. In addition to being a homemaker, wife and mother, she was employed with Bill Zuber’s Restaurant, Homestead, and the Super Valu deli, Williamsburg.

She and her husband worked as custodians at St. Paul Lutheran Church for many years. She also enjoyed working at the farmer’s market in Williamsburg. She spent her free time knitting and crocheting.

Robinson is survived by one daughter, Juanita (Gene) Roland, Waterloo; five grandchildren, Tonja (William) Roland-Ludwig, Waterloo; Dan (Jeralene) Roland, Grinnell; Jenni (Paul) Gault, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Karri (Jeff) Brown, Kenosha, Wis., and Nathanial (Sierra) Durr, Marengo; 10 great-grandchildren, Jason Ludwig, Kaden Ludwig, Lucas Roland, Kennedy Roland, Briar Roland, Robert Durr, Rhia Durr, Raven Gault, Lincoln Durr and Liam Durr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 2011; her parents and one daughter, Patricia Durr.
