Fredia Schwab, 85

Funeral service for Freida C. Schwab, 85, Oxford, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Oxford United Methodist Church. She died Monday, May 26, 2014, at Parkview Care Center, Wellman.

Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Freida Charlene Schwab was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Kahler) Schwab. She attended rural Johnson County country schools near Oxford.

For many years, she cleaned homes for families of this area. She was also the custodian for her church, Oxford United Methodist Church, for years.

Schwab is survived by her sister, Mary Prizler, Williamsburg; two nephews; five great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-nephew.
