Dale Doehrmann, 66

Celebration of life service for Dale Doehrmann, 66, North English, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg. He died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at his home.

The Rev. Richard Meyer officiated at the service.

Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

A general memorial fund has been established.

Dale Doehrmann was born Aug. 20, 1947, near Williamsburg, the son of Rudolph and Loretta Anna (Glandorf) Doehrmann. He grew up near Williamsburg and lived in Iowa County his whole life.

He worked as a welder at Kinze Manufacturing and enjoyed fishing, working on old tractors, welding and spending time in the shop. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Doehrmann is survived by his children, Ben (Jessica) Doehrmann, Ankeny; Andy (Tekla) Doehrmann, Gilbert, Ariz., and Tracie (Bill) Watkins, Chandler, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Emma Doehrmann, London Stoes, William, Morgan and Shelby Watkins; four brothers, Orville Doehrmann, Ronald Doehrmann, Verne Doehrmann and Larry Doehrmann; three sisters, Alice Grisham, Lorraine Grimm and Kathy Rudin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Ryan; one sister, Ethel Hull, and two brothers, Dean Doehrmann and Earl Doehrmann.
