Dorothy Schultz, 93

Celebration of life graveside service for Dorothy M. Schultz, 93, Williamsburg, was held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19, at Zion Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. She died Friday, May 16, 2014, at her home near Millersburg.

The Rev. Michelle Williamson officiated at the service.

Memorials may be made to the Millersburg First Responders.

Dorothy Mae Schultz was born July 12, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of LeRoy and Orpha Dell (Spurgon) Clark. She attended Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids.

She married Otis “Cricket” Schultz Aug. 8, 1937, in Dubuque. Together they farmed, owned and operated Schultz Repair, a bar in Marengo, the Hometown Cafe, Millersburg, and a clothing store.

She was a member of Zion Reformed Church. She loved to have her home full of family, to cook and bake and was an artist. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do.

Schultz is survived three children, Richard Schultz and Debra Schultz, both Williamsburg, and Frank (Linda) Schultz, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Jeni (John) Schropp, Jeremy Schultz, Jackie (Mark) Schultz, Jon (Bobbi Jo) Schultz, Aaron Schultz, Lindsey (Pete) Satterlee, Niki Keeter, Caroline (Brittanie) Schultz; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1980; her parents; one daughter, Judy Slaymaker; one grandson, Jason Schultz; one daughter-in-law, Debby Schultz; two sisters and three brothers.
