NORTH ENGLISH -- Harry Lee Miller, 87, of 120 S. West St., died Monday, March 29, 2004, in English Valley Nursing Care following an extended illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, North English, by the Rev. David Hitch. Burial will be at a later date in North English Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements with Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City.

Survivors include his wife, Francine; six sons, John of Burlington, Robert of Des Moines, Anthony of Chicago, Kenneth of Berkeley, Calif., and Michael and Nicholas, both of Des Moines; and five daughters, Barbara Willis of Sioux City, Margaret Haywood of Sonoma, Calif., Janice Gover of Naples, Fla., Mary Fisher of Woodbury, Minn., and Rosalee McNamara of Kansas City, Mo.

Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Fred Miller, Harold Miller and Edwin Miller; and a sister, Cleone Watkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in North English or Dollars for Scholars.
