Funeral service for Kaitlyn M. “Katybug” Mumm, 4, Williamsburg, was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo. She died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, in a motor vehicle accident.

Burial was in the Marengo Cemetery.

Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.klosterfuneralhome.com .

A memorial fund has been established.

Kaitlyn Mae Mumm was born March 26, 2009, in Grinnell, the daughter of Mathew and Brandi Langreck Mumm. She was attending preschool, which was a highlight of her day.

She was a bubbly girl who loved to play dress up, “mommy” and help “cook” at home. She enjoyed being a helper at school and was always making new friends. She loved to ride ATVs with her mom and dad and her grandpas. She cuddled daily with her pet puppies, Misty and Marlo.

Kaitlyn is survived by her parents, Mathew and Brandi Mumm; her paternal grandparents, Russell Mumm, Ladora, and Nancy (Jay) Lindenmayer, Brooklyn; maternal grandparents, Ken and Colleen Langreck, Marengo; great-grandmother, Ruth Langreck, Cresco; uncles, Dustin (Kathy) Langreck, Blairstown; Shannon (Sara) Langreck, Williamsburg, and Joshua (Rhonda) Mumm, Brooklyn; aunt, Brooke (Ting) Langreck, Amana, and cousins, Tabitha, Cole and Dodge Mumm.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather and her paternal great-grandparents.
