Joyce Marie Grimm, 68, of 4435 Teal Ct., Marion died Thursday, March 18, 2004, in her home after a brief illness. Celebration of Life services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Community Church, rural Deep River, by the Rev. John DeBoef. Burial: church cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, North English.

Joyce was born March 10, 1935 in Washington Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and LaVern Hartman Stout. She graduated from Washington High School. Joyce was united in marriage to Kenneth Wayne Grimm on December 2, 1952 in Washington, Iowa. They have lived in the Davenport and Cedar Rapids area and in Conesville. She was a homemaker and worked in the family trucking business, J & K Enterprises.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; five children, Donnie Grimm of Williamsburg, Richard Grimm of Hiawatha, Cynthia Tandy of Oxford, David Grimm of Ely and Douglas Grimm of Cedar Rapids; and three brothers, Frank and Dwain Stout, both of Des Moines, and Alan Stout of Newton. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ralph.
A general memorial fund has been established.
