William Barth, 49

Memorial service for William “Bill” Barth, 49, Amana, was held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. He died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at his home.

David Mosher officiated at the service.

Inurnment was a 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Walnut Cemetery, Walnut, Ill.

A memorial fund has been established.

William Joseph Barth was born Oct. 24, 1964, in Princeton, Ill., the son of Eddie Raymond and Helene Bartkowski Barth. He attended school in Walnut, Ill., and graduated from Walnut High School.

He was employed in maintenance and housekeeping departments and also worked as a mechanic and in car repair. He had resided in the Amana and Cedar Rapids area for 13 years.

He loved socializing with people and spending time with his sister, Kathy. He enjoyed playing with Bud the dog, yard work and working on cars.

Barth is survived by his sister, Kathy Karrow and husband David, Amana; one niece, Alicia Karrow, Rock Falls, Ill., and a grandnephew, Spencer Donoho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers, Don Eddie Barth and David Barth, and Bud, the dog.
