A memorial gathering and dinner for Betty J. Morrison, 55, Walford, was held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the city hall, Walford. She died at her home Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. Per her wishes, she was cremated.

Memorials may be made to her children and grandchildren.

Betty Joyce Morrison was born Oct. 24, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Henry and Ethel (Shebert) Gallope. After graduating from high school, she went on to college and studied to be an optometric assistant.

She married William Earl Morrison Nov. 16, 1982, in Elk City, Okla. She worked for Whirlpool Amana for over 20 years and was planning on retiring soon.

Her hobbies included boating, camping, horseback riding, puzzles and traveling. She loved spending time with her friends and family and especially loved playing with her grandkids.

Morrison is survived by her husband, William Earl Morrison, Walford; two daughters, Deanna (Greg) Kieffer, Indiana, and Misty (Jermy) Campbell, Walford; grandchildren, Bailee Kieffer, Indiana; Destiny, Dominic and Aiden Campbell, Walford; one step-son, Warren (Carrie) Morrison, Illinios; step-granddaughters, Kylie and Madison Morrison, Illinois; four siblings, Pat Elam, Prague, Okla., and James Gallope, Norma Dean East and Virginia Winn, all Oklahoma City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Adolph and Bertha Shebert; one sister, Dorothy Jolley; one brother, Robert Gallope, and an adopted brother, Tony Gallope.
