Shirley Cavin Murray

Shirley Arlene Murray, 77, of Bloomfield, formerly of Ollie, died Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Davis County Hospital, in Bloomfield. She was born January 27, 1936, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Frank and Bessie McClain Cavin. She graduated from Ollie High School. On October 30, 1967 she married Walter “Bucky” Murray.

Shirley’s life was her reward. She enjoyed mowing lawns for the elderly, babysitting children, reading dimestore novels and romance novels. She found love later in life with Bucky. She is best remembered for her unforgettable smile, picking up mail for others and time spent with her family. She finally met with the Lord on a sunny Monday morning August 19, 2013. She was a member of the Ollie Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bucky, a brother Roger Cavin, nephew Dan Mahan, sister-in-law Sue Lathrop Cavin, brother- in- law Richard Mahan.

She is survived by her sisters Rose Mahan of North English, Frances Peart of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, nieces, Linda Scott, Shirley Sue Conner, and nephews Don Mahan, Terry Mahan, and R.J. Mahan.

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the Ollie Baptist Church
