Daniel D. Herman, Sr., 71, of Hollister, Mo., and formerly of Marengo, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at his sister’s home in Belle Plaine from a sudden illness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Belle Plaine Community Center with Pastor Jack Andrews presiding.

He is survived by daughters, Cheri Lynch, Christina Riedel, Holly Herman, Gabriel Herman, and Rosalee Herman; sons, Daniel Herman Jr., Timothy Herman, Darren Herman, Jesse Herman, and Jonathan Herman; granddaughter, Hanna Lynch, and several other grandchildren; sisters, Earlene Wheeler and Celia Harken; and brother, Glen Herman.
