Kristian Kittelson, 40

Celebration of life memorial service for Kristian W. Kittelson, 40, Williamsburg, formerly of Cedar Falls and Parkersburg, was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Harvest Baptist Church, Williamsburg. He died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, of a heart attack.

The Rev. John Sauser officiated at the service.

Burial will be at a later date.

A general memorial fund has been established.

Kristian W. Kittelson was born Jan. 27, 1973, the son of Robert O. and Janice K. (Jones) Kittelson. He was a 1991 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. He attended Century College and received his degree in prosthetics. He was currently employed by Hanger Prosthetics, Iowa City.

He married Jan Marie Tesdahl and they had three children, Ciara, Korbin and Mia. April 1, 2005, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.

He was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed playing drums, watching the Dallas Cowboys and hunting and fishing with his family. He had a servant’s heart and devoted his life to witness for the Lord.

In 2010, he traveled to Haiti to volunteer after the massive earthquake. He worked there with a team to provide prosthetics for the victims. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Williamsburg.

Kittelson is survived by his wife and children, Williamsburg; his mother, Jan Kittelson-Martin, Cedar Falls; one brother, Michael and Deb Kittelson, Cedar Falls; his sister, Karla and Jay Ortiz, Santee, Calif., and his twin sister, Kerri and Doug Karsjens, Cedar Falls; stepbrother, John Griffith, Williamsburg; stepsisters, Debbie Gangwish, Shelton, Neb., and Triscia Griffith, Petersburg, Neb.; stepbrother, Phil Martin, Ely, and stepsisters, Jennifer Hudson, Bend, Ore.; Leighann and Rick Dahlem, Robbins, and Beth Martin, Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Orlando and Irene Kittelson; maternal grandparents, George and Helen Jones, and his stepfather, Dave Martin.
