Funeral service for Sandra K. Von Ahsen, 64, Newhall, was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at St. John Lutheran Church, Newhall. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.

The Rev. Steven Rempfer officiated at the service.

Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Newhall. A memorial fund has been established.

Sandra Kay Von Ahsen was born Oct. 8, 1948, at Williamsburg, the daughter of Eldon and Helen (Smith) Von Ahsen. She was employed at various work centers through Benton County Opportunities.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing cards, dancing, eating out and spending time with her family and many friends.

Von Ahsen is survived by her parents, Eldon and Helen Von Ahsen, Newhall; one brother, Dennis (Pinky) Von Ahsen, Newhall; two nephews, Nick and Angie Von Ahsen and Jeff Von Ahsen, all Atkins; two great-nephews, Will and Owen; a great-niece, Emma, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Otto and Anna Von Ahsen and Ed and Augusta Smith.
