Mary C. Brown, 67, Williamsburg, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Colonial Manor, Amana. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mary Carolyn Brown was born Jan. 21, 1945, in Iowa City, the daughter of Robert Dale and Elizabeth Ann (Eichler) Herring. She grew up in Iowa City and graduated from City High School in 1963.

She married Douglas Wayne Brown June 18, 1965, in Iowa City. The couple moved to Williamsburg in 1972.

She had numerous jobs around the area. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Williamsburg, and was a founding member of the Iowa City Society of Model Railroad Engineers. She also was a parent to the students of Mule Barn Theatre from 1984 to 1988.

Brown is survived by her husband, Douglas, and one son, Jerry, both Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of life memorial service for Mary C. Brown, 67, Williamsburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Harvest Baptist Church, Williamsburg. She died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Colonial Manor, Amana.

A general memorial fund has been established.
