Margaret “Jeanne” Wallace, 90, Kalona, died Sept. 15, 2012, at the Pleasantview Home, Kalona. She had recently developed more health issues.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Inurnment will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington.
A memorial has been established for Essence of Life Hospice.

Margaret Jeanne Wallace was born June 17, 1922, in Washington, the daughter of Rodney and Florence (Gesling) Davis. She grew up in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1940.
She married Keith Norton Dec. 10, 1941, and they had three children, Stephen, Kathleen and Claudia.
They were members of the United Methodist Church, Washington.
Her husband died in 1963.
She married Robert Wallace, Williamsburg, Oct. 4, 1964. They had one daughter, Robin.
Margaret never met a stranger, loved all people and was known for her positive outlook on life. She loved to travel and in her later years, moved and lived in Fort Collins, Colo., and Mesa, Ariz. She was a member of the Elks Club and worked for the Republican Party. She moved back to Kalona in 2009 to be near her daughter.
Wallace is survived by three daughters, Kathleen and Craig Shellady, Kalona; Claudie and Mike Kleinmeyer, Williamsburg, and Robin and Jeff Strayer, Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; one sister, Gayle Gates, and one son, Stephen.

Memorial services for Jeanne Wallace, 90, Kalona, formerly of Williamsburg, will be held Friday, Sept. 28, at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home, Kalona. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., with the service to follow at 7 p.m.
