Funeral services for Maureen K. Brown, 55, Ladora, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. She died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City.

George Grothman will officiate at the service.

Burial will be in the Ohio Cemetery, Ladora.

A memorial fund has been established.

Maureen Kay Brown was born Aug. 17, 1957, in Marengo, the daughter of Duane and Lucille Sebetka Brown. She graduated from HLV High School, Victor, in 1975. She spent her life assisting with the family farming business.

Brown is survived by her parents, Duane and Lucille Brown, and two brothers, Steven and Duane Jr., all Ladora, and one sister, Brenda Lee and Dean Peters, Bowling Green, Va.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
