Funeral services for Florence C. “Flo” Myszka, 98, Cedar Falls, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Washington Chapel United Methodist Church. She died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the English Valley Care Center, North English.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Florence C. Myszka was born Aug. 17, 1916, in Finchford, the daughter of Ruby Earl and Josephine Miller. She married Leonard Myszka Sr. Dec. 14, 1940, in Chicago, Ill. He died Oct. 19, 1992.

She graduated from Finchford High School in 1934 and attended beauty school in Chicago. She was employed in food service at the University of Northern Iowa from 1959 until retiring in 1980.

She later was a people greeter at Walmart.

Myszka is survived by one son, Leonard and Linda Myszka Jr., Cedar Falls; one daughter, Gloria Haasis, Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Troy (Jason) [Fienhold-Haasis], Council Bluffs; Trina (Joel) Haasis-Arp, Williamsburg; Eric (Niki) Myszka, Cedar Falls, and Dana (Erik) Peterson, Bloomington, Minn., and five great-grandchildren, Trevor Haasis, Adam Arp and Ashley, Emily and Hailey Peterson.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, Ralph, Russel and Ruby Carlson; one sister, Bessie Myszka; one son-in-law, Lou Haasis, and one great-granddaughter, Chloe Peterson.
