Funeral services for Loretta Shaull, 87, Keswick, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the United Methodist Church, Keswick. She died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Oskaloosa Care Center.

Burial was in the Sorden Cemetery near Webster.
Memorials may be made to the Keswick United Methodist Church.

Loretta Maxine Shaull was born Sept. 30, 1924, near Keswick, the daughter of Isaac and Ethel Coghlan Bair. She graduated from Keswick High School.

She married Milford Shaull Nov. 18, 1942. While in school, she won several spelling bees. She was a dedicated and devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her family.

After her children left home, she began volunteering one day a week at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. She continued her volunteer effort for 21 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Keswick, and Martha’s Circle.

Shaull is survived by two sons, Roger and Susie Shaull, Climax Springs, Mo., and Brian and Lani Shaull, Keswick; two daughters, Nancy and Dan Ritchie, Carlisle, and Shelley and Mike Kirby, Oskaloosa; one daughter-in-law, Debb Shaull, Sigourney; one sister, Evelyn Claypool, Mountain Home, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, Kevin Shaull; two sisters, Gladys Spence and Ellen Bauer, and seven brothers, Ward Bair, Bruce Bair, Clifford Bair, Kenneth Bair, Fleming Bair, Melvin (Tub) Bair and Glen Fitzwater.
