John Bullers, 64

John “Dicky” Bullers, 64, Clinton, died Aug. 27, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. Following his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with no services.

A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

Lemke Funeral Homes, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family.

John “Dicky” Bullers was born Sept. 7, 1947, in Williamsburg, the son of Jonathan and Colleen (Reece) Bullers. He graduated from Williamsburg High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He loved to ride his bike and taking short trips to Florida, staying on the beach, collecting shells and other trinkets. He was a big fan of American Pickers. He greatly enjoyed running his business, Dicky’s Dogs, Balls and Barbecue. Above all, he loved his family and all his friends. He truly loved life and chatting with people.

Bullers is survived by two daughters, Melissa Bullers, Nashville, Tenn., and Angela and Anthony DeJesus, Clinton; two sons, Bill Bullers, Clinton, and Shawn Bullers, Fullton, Ill.; five grandchildren, Joeleigh, Landon, Payton, Jazmin and Jacob; two sisters, Susie and Dave Stanerson, Conroy, and Nina Bullers, Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Barb Suehl-Janis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert F. Bullers.
