Bonnie Doehrmann, 58

Celebration of life service for Bonnie L. Doehrmann, 58, North English, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 18, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg. She died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at her home near North English.

The Rev. Richard Meyer officiated at the service. Organist was Joanne Huedepohl.

Selections included “How Great Thou Art,” “Amazing Grace” and “In The Garden.”

Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jerry Cook, Braden Schlesselman, Kyle Schlesselman, Devin Schlesselman, Ben Doehrmann and Dick Schwarting.

A general memorial fund has been established.

Bonnie Lou Doehrmann was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Vinton, the daughter of Howard and Geraldine (Halgren) Boyles. She graduated from Shellsburg High School in Shellsburg.

She married Dale Doehrmann Jan. 9, 1993, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She worked as a cook in Montezuma, at Hillside Estate and Marengo Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed being outdoors, flowers and birds.

Doehrmann is survived by her husband, Dale; one daughter and her husband, Heidi and Robert Schlesselman, Deep River; two sons and their wives, Jason and Jamie Wendel, Blairstown, and Casey and Lacey Wendel, Newhall; six grandchildren; seven sisters and their husbands, Bev and Dick Schwarting, Williamsburg; Marcia and Jerry Cook, Center Point; Glenda Ferguson, Marion; Rosann Olmstead, Shellsburg, Wis.; Dixie Bierschenk, Williamsburg; Cheryl and John Dlouhy, Marion, and Joyce and Richard Wychoff, Center Point, and one brother, Gary Boyles, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
