Celebration of life service for Norman J. Doehrmann, 76, Williamsburg, was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. He died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.
The Rev. Carl Cloeter officiated at the service. Musical selections included “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.”
Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Casket bearers were Steve Faber, Jay Doehrmann, Brian Doehrmann, Anthony Doehrmann, Richard Kruse Jr. and Derrick Grubb. Honorary casket bearer was Mark Doehrmann.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Lutheran Interparish School.

Norman John Doehrmann was born Jan. 14, 1936, near South Amana, the son of Egon Otto and Leona Helen (Nagel) Doehrmann. He was baptized Feb. 2, 1936, at Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed April 1, 1951, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He attended St. Paul parochial school in Williamsburg.
He worked at the Amana Woolen Mill, Burg Cleaning Village and Ed’s TV before retiring. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. He enjoyed playing cards and watching sports.
Doehrmann is survived by two brothers and their wives, Lloyd and Claudia Doehrmann, Williamsburg, and Bruce and Arlys Doehrmann, South Amana, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Katherine Jane Doehrmann.
