Celebration of life services for Robert E. Weber, 56, South English, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Powell Funeral Home, North English. He died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at his home in South English.
The Rev. Joe Winkler officiated at the service.
Burial was in the South English Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.

Robert Erwin Weber was born Feb. 29, 1956, in Sigourney, the son of Doc and Anna L. Kerkove Weber. He grew up in the Kinross and Wellman communities. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School, Wellman, in 1974, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He married Angela M. Dietze Sept. 24, 1983, near South English. He worked for 17 years for Ayers Construction, nine years for Cox Sanitation and several years for Passer Roofing.
He loved Jesus and his family. He had a passion for reading and writing poetry. He was a crafter of wood and copper. His hobby was learning about and growing flowers. He had an extensive knowledge about growing things. He was a beautiful man with a kind and loving soul. His wishes for all he left behind were that they may have Jesus in their hearts, so we may all meet again.
Weber is survived by his wife, Angela; daughters and their husbands, Annie and Zac Schott, South English, and their children, Bentley, Forrest and Bella, and Alicia Moyer, South English, and her children, Mallory, Bryce and their daddy Jake, both South English; his parents and their spouses, Anna and Dale Powers, Iowa City, and Doc and Linda Weber, Kalona; one sister and her husband, Joyce and Frank Ruplinger, Iowa City, and brothers and their wives, John and Sarah Weber and Travis and Kelly Weber, all North Liberty.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
