Funeral services for Jerome R. “Jerry” Miller, 63, Marengo, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at First Presbyterian Church, Marengo. He died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011.

The Rev. Gerald Rife officiated at the service.

Burial was in Inland Cemetery, Bennett.

A memorial fund has been established.

Jerome Russell “Jerry” Miller was born July 15, 1947, at Davenport, the son of Russell and Eldora Reeve Miller. He attended Bennett Community School and graduated from Iowa Valley High School, Marengo, in 1965. He went on to graduate from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, with a degree in accounting.

His work history included serving as vice president of Fairfield Line Inc.; president of Brookville Glove Co.; business manager for Cedar County Workshop and accountant for Cole County Residential Services.

He enjoyed the out-of-doors, especially hunting, fishing, trapshooting and motorcycling. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Versailles, Mo.

He married Diane Scott in 1967 and was blessed with two children, Melissa and Brian.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane; one daughter and her husband, Melissa and David Biundo, Weston, Wis.; one son and his wife, Brian and Kristen Miller, Marengo; three granddaughters, Taylor and Mackenzie Biundo, Weston, and Emilee Miller, Marengo; one brother and his wife, Del and Jan Miller, Manhattan, Kan., and two nephews, Tad Miller, Wichita, and Todd Miller, Manhattan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Troy Miller, in 2004.
