Mildred A. McMann, 92, a resident of Northbrook Manor died there Thursday February 3, 2011. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and Burial at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Calvary Cemetery in Marengo.

Survivors include her sons, Lawrence (Janis) McMann of Cedar Rapids and Leo (Kathie) McMann of St. Paul, Minnesota, 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.

Her parents, husband Urban Francis McMann, a son, Richard McMann, 2 brothers, Carl, Leo and 3 sisters, Leona, Florence and Leta preceded her in death.

Mildred was born January 9, 1919 in Rural Iowa County, the daughter of Charles and Bertha Kruse Possehl. She married Urban Francis McMann on March 12, 1935 in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Marengo.

Mildred and her husband farmed for 19 years in Iowa County and was a 50 year member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Mildred worked for Armstrong’s Department Store and Paramount Pharmacy. She loved gardening, baking and will always be remembered for her famous Christmas Cookies. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial fund has been established.
