Funeral services for Lola H. Franzenburg, 94, Keystone, were held Monday, Sept. 20, at St. John Lutheran Church, Keystone. She died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center following an extended illness.

The Rev. Dr. James Eggert officiated at the service.

Burial was in the Keystone Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Phillips Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.phillipsfuneralhomes.com.

Lola H. Franzenburg was born May 28, 1916, at Keystone, the daughter of Fred and Cecilia (Albers) Holst.

She married Otto Franzenburg Dec. 14, 1937, at Vinton. He preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed membership in the Home Mission Society. She was also a member of the Kane Homemakers and several card clubs.

Franzenburg is survived by her children and their spouses, Donald and Pat Franzenburg, Belle Plaine; Raymond Franzenburg, Dysart; Phyllis Haack, Marengo; Linda and Dennis Lettow, West Des Moines, and Connie and John Mullan, Cedar Falls; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Lucille Junge, Keystone.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Anita Senne; sisters, Esther Franzenburg, Stella Holst and Gladys Nissen, and two sons-in-law, Russell Haack and Don Senne.
