Ellis Lloyd Morrison was born Feb. 9, 1921, in rural Keokuk County, the son of Walter Ellis and Rena Schilling Morrison. After returning from the war, he farmed. He married Lillian Laurene Fry. They were later divorced.

He retired after working more than 30 years at Amana Refrigeration. Some of his favorite things were calling square dances, fishing, camping and his love of kitties.
