A celebration of life open house for Christine M. Rodman, 40, Mount Vernon, was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. She died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at her home following a long illness.

Christine Marie Rodman was born Aug. 9, 1970, in Marengo and graduated from Kennedy High School in 1988. She earned an associate of arts degree from Kirkwood Community College.

She was a very loving mother, her children were her life. She was a treasured wife, daughter, sister and friend. She was a very calm and devoted mother. Her children were everything to her.

Rodman is survived by her husband, Chris; four children, Carter, Quinn “Quinnie,” Emma and Skyler; her parents, Larry and Patty Kimm, Athens, Ala., and Sara Harrison and Joe Goergen, Marion; one sister, Laura and Jamos Cairns, Blairstown; her grandmother, Martha “Bubby” Kimm, Marengo, and mother-in-law, Alleen Rodman, Mount Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Donald Rodman; grandfather, Dean Kimm, and grandparents, Gerald and Vivian Harrison.
