Private funeral services for Wilma L. Hadenfeldt, 84, Marengo, will be held at later date. She died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo.

Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery.

Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.klosterfuneralhome.com.

Wilma Lorene Hadenfeldt was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Marengo, the daughter of John and Carrie Lutz Ehrman. She graduated from Marengo High School.

She worked as a legal secretary for Byron Goldthwaite, Marengo, and later served as Deputy Clerk of Iowa County for many years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Marengo, and the Marengo Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time cooking and sewing.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her and remembered as someone who was more concerned about the welfare of others, rather than her own.

Hadelfeldt is survived by one son and his wife, Ed and Mary, Solon; one daughter, and her husband, Jean and William Quinlan, Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren, Alice Quinlan and Andy Quinlan, Chicago; Adam Hadenfeldt, Mount Vernon; Aaron Hadenfeldt, Cedar Rapids, and August Hadenfeldt, Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dwight Ehrman; one sister, Marilyn Watts, and one brother, Eugene, who died in childhood.
