Rev. Jonathan J. Honn, age 65, of Oxford, died Saturday, April 2, 2011 near Winterset, Iowa. The family will be holding private services. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife Linda of Oxford; a daughter Melody Hillier also of Oxford; one grandchild; and a brother William Honn (Maria) of McAllen, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Mary Carol.

Jonathan Jay Honn was born December 15, 1945 in Oxford, Iowa, the son of Faye H. and Iowa L. Floerchinger Honn. He graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1964. He also served in the National Guard. Jonathan founded and was presently the pastor of the Anchored in Faith Gospel Church in Oxford, Iowa. He and Linda Fisher were united in marriage on November 14, 1998 at the Anchored in Faith Gospel Church.
