Memorial services for Neil D. Duncan, 40, Marengo, were held at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo. He died Sunday morning, Dec. 19, 2010.

The Rev. Katie Dawson officiated at the service.

Memorials may be made in care of Keystone Bank, Marengo.

Neil Donovan Duncan was born Jan. 31, 1970, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Daniel Duncan and Loretta Marriott. He received his elementary education at Moulton Elementary and attended North High School, Des Moines. He loved listening to a variety of music genres, being with his friends and family and spending countless hours with his children.

He was loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.

Duncan is survived by two daughters, Amber Meacham, Marengo, and Shantelle Meacham, Cedar Rapids; two sons, Neal Duncan, Marengo, and Rayden Duncan, Pella; one grandchild, Dakota Meacham; one brother, Merle Loren Hughes, Missouri, and six sisters and their husbands, Janice and Charles Alford and Kathy and Charles Haus, all Marengo; Sandra and Ed Hudson, Des Moines, and Sheila Hanzeo, Laurie Dawn Shinabargar and Laurie Denise Smith, all Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his biological parents; his “parents who raised him,” Virgil and Irene Duncan, and one brother, Raymond Duncan.
