Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa 19 Aug 1887, p3.

DIED:--Aug. 14, 1887, MAMIE E. daughter of Evan R. and Mary Williams, aged 2 years, 5 months and 18 days.

"In the midst of life we are in death," and the happiest and most loving home is liable to a wave of sorrow--a sadness so bitter that only the promises held out by the christain religion can comfort.

Only a child, an atom of sunshine molded from the dew of immortality, but how dear to friends. Only a child, but who can measure the anguish of loving parents, as she slept sweetly through eternity's gateway. The funeral was held Monday at 2 P.M., and was very largely attended. The services were conducted by Revs. Hughes, Davis and Stewart, after which the remains were interred in our beautiful cemetery.
