Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 12 Aug 1887, p3.

At Rest.
Died, at Parnell, Aug 8, 1887, WILLIE CRONIN, infant son of our section foreman Cronelius Cronin, aged 2 years.

Sorrow and death have darkened the homes of many people in Iowa county of late, and now they enter the home of our respected townsman and take from him his darling boy. Sympathy cannot palliate, tears can not assuage, hope, alone, in this crisis can allay our grief. Yes, a hope builded upon a faith that would people the realms clysian with our lost ones anxiously waiting to welcome us home. Home! Home! Is that a word of earth or heaven? Can we call that home where the casement is darkened on the window and the crape bangs on the door? No, faith builds for us a better home--a home where the sweet symphonies of angels never cease except on the entrance of the pure of heart. We drop the little casket to-day into the grave, aad we mutter: "Good-bye Willie," bt is this our last farewell? We trust not, faith designates for us a place of meeting--faith bridges for us the chasms between earth and heaven--faith eliminates the sensual from our nature and inspires us with the hope of again clasping our loved ones to our bosoms in that realm where all is joy and peace. T.J.S.
