Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 3 Jun 1887.

On Tuesday morning the remains of Hugh O. Jones, formerly a citizen of this place, but more recently of Long Creek, arrived on the morning train. The G.A.R. Post took charge and interred the remains in our cemetery, with all due solemnity and in accord with the ritual of said order. Mr. Jones was quite well known to this people having lived on a farm near here for a number of years. His wife and child died some years ago, and now they all three sleep, the sleep of death, side-by side.
