OBITUARY.
Died, near Williamsburgh, Iowa, May 12, 1887, MR. EDWARD BLYTHIN, in the 68 year of his age.

Mr. Blythin was a native of Wales. He with his family emigrated to this country several years ago and located for a short time in Wisconsin. From there he moved to Iowa County and continued to reside here till the day of his death. As a man he was hard-working, quiet and unassuming, and as a Christain was of unblemished reputation. He was brought up in his native country in the Wesleyan faith or what is known here as the M.E. Church, but as there was no church of his own denomination here he cast his lot with the Welsh Presbyterian Church of which he continued an honored member. Not long ago he was afflicted with total blindness, but a skillful surgical operation restored sight to one of his eyes. This gave him great joy, as he could then read his beloved Bible and Hymn Book. He was stricken down suddenly by hemmorage of the lungs. He leaves a wife, three sons and two daughters, viz: Dr. J.W. Blythin of Columbus Junction, C.J. Blythin of Minneapolis, Edward Blythin with his mother on the old homestead, Mrs. Roberts of Omaha, and Mrs. Le Claire of Iowa City.

All the children were in attendance at the funeral, which was held last Sabbath morning at the Welsh Presbyterian Church, Thomas E. Hughes the pastor, and Rev. H. Davis officiating.

May the afflicted widow and children find sweet comfort in the promise of the Heavenly Father.

Il.
