MRS. L. GOODMAN DIES AT AGE OF 88
BORN IN PILOT TWP.

Mrs. Lena E. Goodman, 88, a lifetime resident of Iowa County, died Sunday afternoon at the Marengo Memorial hospital where she became a patient the day before.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Paul’s Methodist church with Rev. J.M. Steffenson and Rev. Jerrold W. Swinton officiating. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Robert Menary and Miss Viola Dubishar, with Mrs. Stephen Nelson at the organ. Pallbearers were Alfred Klever, Floyd Klever, Truman Slager, Ralph Lortz, Jr., Everett Lortz, and Truman Lortz. Burial was in Pilot Grove cemetery.

Daughter of Detler and Magdalene Vohs Klever, she was born in Pilot twp. March 6, 1878. She was married to Daniel H. Goodman July 25, 1894. She had lived on the Klever farm all of her married life. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are three children: Ivan Goodman of Kingman, Ariz., Orville Goodman of Williamsburg, and Mrs. Merlin (Bess) Stahl of Williamsburg; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1950.
