Mrs. Andrew White Funeral Rites Dec. 11

Residents of Williamsburg and community were shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. Andrew White who passed away at her home north of town Wednesday afternoon, December 8, at four o'clock following a day's illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9:30 with the Rev. Thos. O'Dowd singing the requiem high Mass and St. Mary's choir singing the responses. Mrs. Marcus O'Donnell rendered a vocal solo.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at Marengo, Msgr. W. E. Carroll of Marengo was in charge of the services at the graveside.

The pallbearers were: Esra Zuber, Omer Sims, Dr. J. F. McCabe, Alex Moynihan, John Q. Flannagan, Julius Buser, John McCune and J. H. Shannahan.

Out of town relatives and friends present at the services were: Dennis Mulherin, Frank Mulherin, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Susie O'Brien of North English; Mr. and Mrs. John Mulherin, Mechanicsville, Mr. and Mrs. Will Kelly and Clement of Hobrook, Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Longwell, Wellman, Earl Baker of Keota.

Margaret Noonan White, daughter of Patrick and Sarah Noonan, was born at Davenport, May 2, 1877. On November 22, 1910, she was united in marriage with Andrew White in St. Mary's church in Williamsburg.

Mr. and Mrs. White were the parents of two children. Vincent and a daughter Mary who died in infancy.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband, son Vincent and his wife, one granddaughter, Priscilla, and two sisters, Mrs. John Mahan and Sara Noonan. And a host of friends.

Mrs. White was a woman of the highest character, possessed a kindly disposition, retiring in her nature. She was a life long member of the Catholic church, and her Christian virtues will be long enshrined in the hearts of all who knew her. her passing touches many a home in the community with deepest sorrow and from these are extended the sincerest condolences to the bereaved family.
