Mrs. Clarissa Murrin.

Died: -- On Monday, November 25, 1907, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Michael Kelly, of English township, Mrs. Clarissa Murrin, aged 82 years.
The funeral services were held on Wednesday in the Catholic church at Millersburg and were conducted by Rev. J. H. McCarville. Interment in the near by cemetery.
Miss Clarissa Neal was born in Jefferson county, New York, in June 1825. In 1850 she was married in her native home to Mr. Laughlin Murrin. In 1856 the young couple came to Iowa and located near Millersburg on the farm upon which they resided for many years and which the widow owned at the time of her death. Several years ago the husband died and the mother since then has made her home with her daughter Mrs. Michael Kelly, whose kindly ministration to the aged parent constituted a beautiful example of parental devotion.
Mrs. Murrin was the mother of eight children, one son died in childhood, and another upon reaching maturity. The children living are Charles, of Parnell, William of Bagley, Mrs. Michael Kelly, Mrs. Ed Wagner and Mrs. T. Dillon of near Millersburg, and Mrs. Faas, of Parnell.
Mrs. Murrin was a woman of honest character, and her long residence in English township endeared her to all. Her whole life was beautiful in its Christian simplicity and no one was more prompt in extending aid to the needy or sympathy to the distressed. She died full of years and honor, and leaves behind her a (three words missing) as her life was pure.
