Beverly Schwertfeger, 77

Funeral services for Beverly J. Schwertfeger, 77, Brooklyn, formerly of Marengo, were held at noon Saturday, Sept. 25, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. She died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at Brooklyn Community Estates, Brooklyn, following an extended illness.

The Rev. Katie Dawson officiated at the service. Burial was in Bishop Cemetery, rural Marengo. A memorial fund has been established. Online condolences may be left aT www.klosterfuneralhome.com.

Beverly Joan Schwertfeger was born Oct. 6, 1932, in Marengo, the daughter of Floyd and Daisy Jackson Wendel.

She attended school in Marengo.

She married Leonard G. Schwertfeger July 13, 1958, in Marengo.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds.

Schwertfeger is survived by one brother, Larry Wendel, Stevensville, Mont.; an aunt, Lois Patterson, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; her caregiver, Shirley Cleary, Victor, and her extended family, the staff and residents of Brooklyn Community Estates.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1991; her parents and one brother, Floyd Duane.
