Memorial services for Gregory H. Meyer, 55, Waukesha, Wis., formerly of Cedar Rapids, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Durant, with visitation from 1 to 1:45 p.m. He found peace July 1, 2010.

Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Alumni Association.

Gregory H. Meyer was born Dec. 3, 1954, in Pasadena, Calif., the son of Herbert and Viola (Fruendt) Meyer. He married Ludalle “Lou” Weih May 19, 1990.

He was an account executive for Federal Express Corp. He loved flying private aircraft and earned his pilot’s license at age 16. He held a bachelor of arts and master of business administration degrees from the University of Iowa, as well as a master of science and communications degree from Northwestern University.

Meyer is survived by his loving wife of 20 years and his favorite cousins, Diane Norden and Stacy and Don Lensch.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
