Vera Klever, 94

Funeral services for Vera Klever, 94, North English, were held at 2 pm Monday, April 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg. She died Saturday, April 8, 1995, at the English Valley Care Center, North English, where she had been a resident since July 1991.

The Rev. Anthony Conrad officiated at the service.

Burial was in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery north of Millersburg. Casket bearers were Willard Hagen, Kenneth Wilhite, Lee King, Charles Gauthier, LeRoy Meier and Greg Paukert.

Powel Funeral Home, North English, was in charge of arrangements.

Vera Gail Klever was born Aug. 14, 1900, the daughter of Clyde and Clara Wagner Wilhite. She attended rural schools in the Deep River and Millersburg area.

She married John Donahoe. The couple made their home in North English. He died April 27, 1957.

She later married Floyd Klever and moved to Williamsburg. He died in 1988.

Klever is survived by one daughter, Helen Marie Smith, Stewartville, Minn.; one stepson, Lloyd Klever, Marengo; three granddaughters, Jillene Paukert, Harrisburg, Pa.; Jeri Gauthier, Stewartville and Jan Smith, Byron, Minn.; eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Fern Morris, Marion.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Melvin; one sister, Leona Furney and two brothers, Forrest and Harold Wilhite.
