Rites Held Here For Mrs. Becker, Who Died Sept. 6

Mrs. Anna L. Becker, 66, died Saturday evening, Sept. 6, 1958, at her home, 1518 6th Ave., Des Moines, of a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1958, at 2 pm at the Harrison Funeral home in Marengo. The Rev. M. Everett Dorr of Des Moines officiated with the Rev. J. Olen Kennell, assisting. Interment was in the IOOF cemetery. Mrs. R.R. Hibbs furnished the music and Mrs. A. I. Solbrig and Mrs. Clarence Rathjen cared for the flowers.

Casket bearers were Jan Yearin, David Yearin, Charles Sanders, Keith Weekly and Harland Weekly, all great grandnephews and Gary Peterson.

She was born April 26, 1892 in Williamsburg, the daughter of Angus and Amelia Bond Livingston. She married Wm. F. Becker of Marengo, Feb. 4, 1914, at Williamsburg and she moved to Des Moines twenty years ago. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist church and the Highland Park Business Women’s club of Des Moines.

While in Marengo she operated a restaurant and for some time owned one in Des Moines. Until a year ago she clerked in a hardware store in Des Moines.

Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Wiggins, Aledo, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Davis, Marengo; a brother Edward of Williamsburg and Mrs. Veva Sanders, Marengo, among the many nieces and nephews.
