Life Long Resident Is Heart Victim

Arthur O. Mumm,70, a life time resident of this community, died early Sunday Morning at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness. Death was due to a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran church with Rev. L.H. Aurich officiating. Mrs. Earnest Huedepohl was at the organ, leading congregational singing. Pallbearers were Gerald Collingwood, Sylvan Collingwood, Harold Collingwood, Cecil Collingwood, Russell Collingwood, Edward Edwards. Burial was in Pilot Grove cemetery.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mumm, he was born Aug. 11, 1898 in Pilot Grove twp. After attending public school he was engaged in farming all his life, until retiring 17 years ago when he moved to Williamsburg.

He was married to Alice Collingwood Feb. 21, 1923. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters: Mrs. Irvin (Marcella) Martinson of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Henry (Irene) Bosenberg of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. William Cronbaugh of Knoxville, and a son, Dwight Mumm of Williamsburg; two brothers, Alvin Mumm and Ralph Mumm of Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
