Private Services Are Held Sunday For Edith Klever, 66

Private services for Edith may Klever, 66, Williamsburg, were Sunday May 30, at 2:30 pm in Powell funeral home, North English. The Rev. L.B. Hawes, United Methodist church, Millersburg, officiated.

Miss Klever, who was ill eight months, died May 27, 1976, in Yearian Nursing home, Williamsburg, where she had resided since April 1975. Prior to that she had resided at Shenk Nursing home, Wellman.

Music for services was by organist, Mrs. J. Powell, and a soloist who sang, "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Casket bearers were Virgil, Walter, V. Alan and Louis Klever and Loren McCammant. Burial was in Pilot Grove cemetery.

Born Mar. 21, 1910 in Pilot township, near Williamsburg, she was the daughter of John W. and Edna S. Reed Klever. She attended rural school in Pilot township. For 40 years, Miss Klever cared for her invalid mother.

At the age of one, she contracted polio. She kept a doll as a lifelong companion and church music was her hobby.

Survivors are three brothers, Virgil and Louis, both Marengo; Walter, Chicago, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Lucille) McCammant, Williamsburg; and Mrs. Harry (Mary) McCammant, Millersburg; four nephews, V. Alan Klever, South Amana; Lloyd, Gary and Loren McCammant, Williamsburg; four nieces, Mrs. Elaine Dietze, Ladora; Lena Meyer, Victor; Donna and Deborah Klever, Marengo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Frances Meyer.

Rick Klever also served as a pallbearer for the services for his great aunt Edith May Klever, May 30. Walter klever, brother of deceased returned to his home in Chicago after attending funeral services.
