FUNERAL THURSDAY AT ST. MARY'S FOR FRANK HRADEK
Had Been in Hospital For Many Months; Survived By Two Daughters

Death came late Monday to Frank Hradek, who has been a patient in the Marengo hospital for the past seventeen months. Mr. Hradek became seriously ill about two weeks ago and had declined rapidly since that time.

Funeral services are to be held Thursday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church, Williamsburg, at 9:00 a.m. The Rv. J.J. Gaule will read the requiem mass and St. Mary's choir will sing the responses.

Mr. Hradek was born Sept. 10, 1869, in Newport township, Johnson county, a son of John and Kathrine Hradek, and grew to manhood in the vicinity of his birth. He was 76 years, 8 months and 10 days of age at the time of his death.

He was married to Anna Pitlich of Johnson county on February 12, 1895, and the couple established their home on a farm 6 and one-half miles west of Williamsburg where they lived until 1924 when they sold the place and moved to Williamsburg.

Two daughters were born to this union, Mrs. J.C. Schuman of Williamsburg, and Mrs. Lawrence Heitman, living about six miles northwest of Williamsburg. Mrs. Hradek passed away about eleven years ago and since that time Mr. Hradek made his home with his two daughters until he went to the hospital.

Other survivors include one grandson, Eugene Heitman, with the armed forces in Germany; four brothers, Joe P., of Cedar Rapids, Anton, Chas. L., and Albert, all of Williamsburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Elick and Mary Hradek, who live together on a farm in Pilot township, as well as other more distant relatives.
