Bonnie Lou Krogman, age 51, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial-Celebration of Life Services: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 22, 2008, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Marengo with Fr. Joseph Roost and Deacon Ron Kazmeirzak officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Marengo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be contributed to Iowa City Hospice.

She is survived by her husband James Krogman; her children, Jennifer Stanton (Norman) of Hollis, Maine, Schlena Stanton (Mark) of Homestead, and Dean Sabin of Waterloo; and six grandchildren, Justin and Kameron Sabin, Natasha, Mark, and Seth Stanton, and Ashley Stanton. In addition she is survived by her mother and stepfather, Frances and Marvin Stackhouse of Marengo; two brothers, David Crawford of Wayland and Melvin Crawford of Amana; three sisters, Thea Walton and Corliss Donovan of Iowa City, and Lyla Erwin of Marengo and three stepsons, Donnie Stockman of Des Moines, and Terry and David Stockman of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers, Lyle G. Crawford and Terry L. Crawford, a sister Connie Bringer and a stepbrother Chris Stackhouse.

Bonnie Lou Crawford was born June 3, 1956 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle J. and Frances Amlong Crawford. She received her education in the Washington, IA schools. Bonnie married James Krogman on July 7, 1983 in Marshalltown, IA. The couple had lived in Marengo for the past 8 years. Bonnie was employed at the University of Iowa, Iowa City in the housekeeping department. She also worked at Casey’s in Marengo for many years.

Bonnie was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Marengo. She loved to garden, and spend time with her family and friends, including those in Montana. She enjoyed watching the wildlife in Montana and here in Iowa..
